Men's Cross Country Opens 2015 at Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team opened its 2015 season by competing in the Lehigh University Invitational Friday evening.

The Greyhounds' averaged 22:02 over the 6,000-meter course with junior Cory Taggert leading the squad with a time of 20:55.8 that placed him 39th of the 61 competitors in the race. Freshman Devon Harris ran 21:31.1 in his first collegiate invitational for the Greyhounds while sophomore Robert Cahill turned in a time of 21:59.9. Senior Maxwell Korten posted a time of 22:44.4 while sophomore Josh Toth completed the race in 23:34.3.

Junior Andrew Mitchell had a time of 23:44.7 in his first race in over a year while freshman Zach DeSantis began his collegiate career with a time of 24:07.6. Sophomore Mike Kopach ran a time of 24:29.6 while freshman Aaron Hofmann ran 24:42.2 in his collegiate debut.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, September 26 at the Dickinson College Long/Short Course Invitational run at Big Spring High School in Newville.
