Hounds Compete at NCAA Mideast Regional

NEWVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team wrapped up its 2015-16 campaign with this afternoon's race at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship hosted by Dickinson College at Big Spring High School in Newville.

The first finisher for the Blue and Grey was sophomore Robert Cahill, who posted a time of 28:19.4 on the 8,000 meter course. Next to cross the finish line for the Greyhounds was senior Maxwell Korten, who completed the race with a respectful 29:06.7 while freshman Devon Harris ran his way to a time of 29:44.1. Sophomore Andrew Mitchell and Austin Stetler finished seven seconds apart with times of 30:00.4 and 30:07.4. Rounding out the day for Moravian were junior Cory Taggert and sophomore Mike Kopach, who ran times of 31:04.1 and 31:10.5.

"The men have battled as much adversity as I've faced as a coach. We will take a good break now and work back to full health and get geared up for track. We have tremendous potential and talent that I expect this team to display in the winter and spring," stated Head Coach Jesse Baumann after the race.
