Hounds Place 7th at Landmark Championships

KING'S POINT, N.Y. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team placed seventh in the 2015 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by The United States Merchant Marine Academy Saturday at Sunken Meadow State Park.

The Hounds scored 204 points in the meet while Elizabethtown College captured the team title with a score of 16 points.

Sophomore Robert Cahill led Moravian individually as he finished 23rd of the 96 runners in the meet with a time of 28:40.55 on the 8,000-meter course. Freshman Benjamin Smith was the next Greyhound to finish, crossing the line in 29:47.87 while senior Maxwell Korten posted a time of 30:13.31. Sophomore Austin Stetler finished with a time of 30:46.80 while junior Andrew Mitchell had a time of 30:56.75. Also running for the Greyhounds were junior Cory Taggert in 31:55.34, sophomore Mike Kopach at 32:18.56, freshman Aaron Hofmann  in 32:39.11, senior Devin Diaz at 33:12.29 and freshman Peter Milewski in 38:40.03.

The Greyhounds will have a week off before competing in the 2015 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 14 being hosted by Dickinson College at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.
