Greyhounds Run at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J.--- The Moravian College women's cross country team returned to action in the championship race at the Princeton University Invitational Saturday.

The Greyhounds finished 25th in the race with a team score of 781.  Columbia University won the meet with a team score of 83 of the 25 teams in the race.

Junior Jennifer Smilgis led the Greyhounds with a time of 24:46 on the 6,000-meter course to place 180th of 219 runners in the race.  Sophomore Emily Lambright was 185th in 24:50 while sophomore Jessie Goldberg was 192nd in a time of 25:07. Sophomore Claire Del Casale was 196th in the race in 25:13 while senior Emma Pacheco tok 210th in 26:26. Rounding out the Moravian runners were junior Jennifer Parodi in 213th with a time fo 26:37 and sophomore Alyssa Tallon in 218th at 27:58.  Overall, five of the seven Greyhounds competing in the race posted their best times of the 2012 season at Princeton.

Moravian's next scheduled race is the 2012 Landmark Conference Championships that will be hosted by Juniata College on Saturday, October 29th at the Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Altoona as the Greyhounds look to defend their conference title.
