Cross Country Looks to Repeat as Conference Champions

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College men and women's cross country teams will be traveling to Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Altoona, Pa. hosted by Juniata College on Saturday, October 27th for the Landmark Conference Championship meet.

The Greyhound squads are looking to defend their conference titles won in the snow last fall in the 2011 meet hosted by Moravian at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus.

The men's squad is led by sophomore Dillon Farrell, who has the best time in the Landmark Conference this fall by over a minute at 24:44 in the 8K, setting the Landmark Conference record. Senior Donald Noble holds the second best time in the conference at 25:48 while sophomore Alec Duncan has the sixth best time in the conference at 26:30.

Senior Dylan Marton has a time of 27:16.40 this fall while classmate Jake Donchez has put up a time of 27:55 this season. Also competing for the Greyhounds this year has been freshmen Jeremy Rigotti and Maxwell Korten junior Samuel Ansman and sophomore Corey Schauerman.

On the women's side, junior Jennifer Smilgis has recorded a best time of 24:46 in the 6K while sophomore Emily Lambright has a time of 24:50. Sophomore Claire Del Casale has put up a time of 25:02.90 while classmate Jessie Goldberg recorded a time of 25:07 this fall.

Also competing on the women's team will be senior Emma Pacheco, junior Jennifer Parodi, sophomores Alyssa Tallon and Devon Bedell and freshman Alexandriah Sabarese.
