Farrell Takes 7th to Lead Men's Cross Country at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country teams opened its 2012 season with a ninth place finish at the Lehigh University Invitational run on the Goodman Campus in Bethlehem.

The Greyhounds were ninth of ten teams at 181 points while the host Mountain Hawks won the meet with 29 points.

Sophomore Dillon Farrell paced Moravian with a seventh place finish of 107 runners in a time of 18:53.16 on the 6,000-meter course.  Junior Dylan Marton  finished 36th in 19:51.92 while senior Donnie Noble was one spot back in 37th in 19:54.73.  Rounding out the top five for the Greyhounds were sophomore Alec Duncan in 70th place in a time of 20:47.81 and junior Jake Donchez in 82nd at 21:14.90.  Moravian had three other runners compete with freshman Jeremy Rigotti placing 100th in 22:42.32, freshman Maxwell Korten taking 103rd in a time of 23:38.83 and junior Samuel Ansman finished 107th in 28:43.17.

Moravian will return to action on Saturday, September 15th when the squad travels to Ft. Roberdeau Historic Site in Altoona for the Juniata College Invitational.  The course will also be the site of the 2012 Landmark Conference Championships on October 27th.
