Men's Cross Country Wins 2012 Landmark Title; Farrell Named Runner of the Year

ALTOONA, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team won its second straight Landmark Conference title, capturing the 2012 Landmark Conference Championship meet at the Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Altoona hosted by Juniata College Saturday as sophomore Dillon Farrell won the individual title with a winning time of 26:02.20 on the 8,000-meter course.

The Greyhound men finished with a team score 39 points while Susquehanna University was second with 54 points and the United States Merchant Marine Academy placed third with 75 points.

Farrell earns Landmark All-Conference First Team and Runner of the Year honors for his winning time that was first of the 84 runners in the race by 43.5 seconds.  Joining Farrell on the All-Conference First Team with top seven finishes were senior Donnie Noble in third place in 27:01.70, sophomore Alec Duncan in fourth place in a time of 27:02.90 and senior Dylan Marton in fifth place in 27:10.30.

Senior Jake Donzhez was 31st in a time of 28:33.80 for the Greyhounds to round out top five while freshman Maxwell Korten was 75th in 31:15.40.  Freshman Jeremy Rigotti was 77th in 31:23.70 while junior Samuel Ansman was 84th in 38:09.20.

Moravian will have a week off before returning to action at the 2012 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional being hosted by Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 10th.
