TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior goalie Andrew Remias has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Remias recorded two shutouts and registered 13 saves in a 1-0-1 weekend at the Athey Cup hosted by Washington (Md.) College as the Hounds began the 2023 season. Remias, who earned a spot on the Athey Cup All-Tournament Team, posted five stops in a 0-0 draw the host Shoremen in the season opener, and he made a career-high eight saves in a 2-0 victory over Stevenson University on Saturday.

"Congratulations to Andrew for being named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week," stated Head Men's Soccer Coach Bob Wilkinson. "He had a very good preseason and carried his form into the weekend. Besides making some key saves, he helped organize the defense and he controlled the box."

The Greyhounds, who are 1-0-1 this season, are scheduled to return to the pitch on Wednesday, September 6 in a non-conference match at Ramapo College of New Jersey starting at 7:00 p.m.
