Moravian Welcomes 2022-23 Student-Athletes with Annual SAAC Kickoff Event

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted its Annual SAAC Kickoff event on John Makuvek Field Tuesday night to begin the 2023-24 athletic season.

The evening began with performances from the Moravian University Marching Band and the Cheerleading squad. Director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk welcomed all the student-athletes, honored several major award winners from the spring season, and recognized the softball program on its trip to the 2023 NCAA Division III Championship finals in June.

Each team had one student-athlete attempt a penalty kick against the Greyhounds' soccer goalies, and the programs also participated in a tug-o-war tournament on the turf. Freshmen and transfer student-athletes received a Moravian Athletics t-shirt compliments of the Blue & Grey Club and the entire group had a picture taken to kick off the year.
