BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Freshman sprinter Javon McKay from the Moravian University men's indoor track & field team has been honored the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
McKay had an outstanding first collegiate meet as he recorded a pair of runner-up finishes as the Greyhounds opened the 2023-24 season at the non-scoring Lehigh University Mountain Hawk Opener Saturday. He finished second in the 60-meter dash finals in an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 7.00 seconds after a preliminary time of 7.04 seconds to win his heat in his first collegiate race. McKay was also the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.35 seconds.
