BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior goalie Andrew Remias of the Moravian University men's soccer squad has been named as the first Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger of 2023-24 for his performance last week.
Remias posted a pair of shutouts and made 13 saves in a 1-0-1 weekend for the Greyhounds at the Athey Cup hosted by Washington (Md.) College to open the 2023 season. Remias, who earned the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger honor once last fall, made five stops in a 0-0 draw against the host Shoremen in the season opener, and he posted a career-best eight saves in a 2-0 victory over Stevenson University on Saturday. Remais was one of four Greyhounds named to the Athey Cup All-Tournament Team.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
