Dietz Named Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior guard Alex Dietz of the Moravian University men's basketball squad has been named as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.

Dietz averaged 17.5 points per game in the 43rd Steel Club Classic as the Greyhounds finished with a 1-1 mark and as the runner-up. Dietz, who made the All-Tournament Team, shot 12-of-19 from the floor, 7-of-10 beyond the three-point line and 4-for-4 at the foul line during the two contests, and he added 11 assists, nine rebounds, three steals and just four turnovers while playing 66 of 80 minutes. Dietz had 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 91-67 victory over Hunter College in the opening game of the tournament. He then had 17 points, four boards and six assists in a 91-83 loss to Alvernia University in the championship game.

The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
