TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior Ronny Pimentel Ferrer has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Pimentel Ferrer helped Moravian to a 1-0 record in non-conference action last week with an 8-1 win over Immaculata University. He combined with junior Wyatt Marshall for an 8-3 victory at first doubles, and Pimentel Ferrer recorded a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at second singles while bumping up to second position due to injury.
"This is a well-deserved recognition for Ronny," stated Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "He works extremely hard, whether it's in the weight room or on the court. He had a great performance this past week earning two wins in singles and doubles. He continues to make improvements each day and I am excited to see what he does next."
The Hounds, who are 6-2 on the season, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 12 when the squad hosts the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in a non-conference match beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
