BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis team posted a 9-0 shutout of visiting Immaculata University in the Greyhounds' first match of the spring at Hoffman Courts Friday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Hounds captured the two doubles contests that were played with senior Mara Stapleton and sophomore Izzy Szmodis capturing an 8-0 win. Freshmen Ali Bender and Leah Zolotareva registered an 8-2 victory at first doubles
- Senior Emily Masters began singles with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at fifth singles while Zolotareva posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles. Stapleton picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles just before Bender won 6-2, 6-0 at second singles. Senior Gabby Martin added a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at fourth singles to finish the contest
- Moravian started the match with a 2-0 edge as the Mighty Macs were only able to travel five players
