Marquis Ratcliff, Men's Basketball - Landmark
Moravian University senior forward Marquis Ratcliff earned his third Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week honor of the 2025-26 season for his performance during the week of December 29-January 4.
Ratcliff averaged 22.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week for the Greyhounds, and he was selected as the MVP of the 45th Steel Club Classic last Tuesday. Ratcliff shot 53 percent from the field (25-for-47), 39 percent beyond the three-point line (7-for-18) and 73 percent at the foul line (11-for-15) to go along with six blocked shots, four assists and two steals while playing 88 of 120 minutes in the three contests. He began the week with 13 points, seven rebounds and a blocked shots in 27 minutes of action in the Hounds' 113-92 win over FDU-Florham to begin the 45th Steel Club Classic with a tournament record 113 points. Ratcliff posted 23 points, nine boards, three assists and a pair of blocked shots in 30 minutes in the championship game, an 81-79 last second win over Ursinus College. He finished the week with 32 points, nine boards and three blocked shots in Moravian's 99-81 victory over Lancaster Bible College. The game was his fourth 30-point game of the season and 12th of his career.
“Marquis has been extremely consistent in how he prepares and competes, and that’s why he keeps earning this recognition,” commented Interim Head Coach Michael Mayes. “He shows up every day with the right mindset, puts the work in, and leads by example on the floor. He has been bringing energy, communicating and lifting up the guys around him.”
