Moravian's SAAC Raises Nearly $600 for Turning Point in 2015

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee raised nearly $600 from Moravian student-athletes and athletic department staff members for an eighth straight year to purchase toys and other gifts that were donated to Turning Point, a shelter for victims of domestic violence.

The Greyhounds sponsored two families as part of Turning Point's family sponsorship program. The Hounds were able to purchase gifts on the two families' wish lists as well as donate everyday items needed for operations at Turning Point.

"As student athletes, donating to Turning Point is a great way to give back to our community," commented senior men's tennis player and SAAC treasurer Matt Tuorto. "We are happy to help in anyway that we can. We want to help provide families with gifts who are less fortunate. The Moravian student-athletes are more than willing to donate to Turning Point and hope to better the lives of others."
