Joe Bottiglieri is joining the Moravian football staff for the 2023 season to coach the linebackers. Bottiglieri joins the Greyhounds after a year at Alvernia University, and he has more than 40 years of coaching experience including stops at Lafayette College from 1973 to 1977 and Lehigh University from 1997 to 1999 and again from 2013 to 2017. Bottiglieri served as the Head Coach at Mansfield University from 1978 until 1982, and he led the Shippensburg University program from 1986 to 1989. Bottiglieri has also served as a defensive coordinator at Wesley (Del.) College from 2018-2020, and he was the defensive coordinator for two years at the University of Rhode Island and five of the six seasons he coached at the College of William and Mary.

In addition to his time at Lafayette and Lehigh, Bottiglieri was the Head Coach at Allentown Central Catholic High School in 2000 and the Head Coach at Emmaus High School from 2001 through 2011. He was selected to the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame in 2022. Bottiglieri is a 1971 graduate of Bloomsburg University.
