Moravian University named Matt Easterday as Director of Swimming in May 2023. Easterday came to Moravian after 14 seasons as the Head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach and Aquatics Director at King's College. He was selected as the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Coach of the Year, and Easterday coached 14 individual conference champions, one relay conference champion and 95 All-Conference honors including 28 First Team selections while leading the Monarchs.

Easterday's record also includes his teams excelling out of the pool with the women's team at King's making the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholastic All-America for 28 straight semesters and the men's team earning the honor 17 times, and he coached 42 MAC All-Academic selections and four Middle Atlantic Conference Senior Scholar-Athletes of the Year. Easterday also grew the Monarchs' program from a roster of 10 swimmers to more than 40.

In addition to his tenure at King's, Easterday spent two years each as an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall College and Washington (Md.) College.

Easterday is a 2004 graduate of McDaniel College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration while minoring in sports management. He swam for three seasons for the Green Terror after starting his collegiate career at the University of Maryland.
