INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Five Moravian College football players are ranked in the fourth week of the 2011 NCAA Division III Statistics released Tuesday.
Senior defensive lineman Allen Petros (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty HS) is tied for 25th in sacks with 1.12 per game, and he is also tied for 21st in tackles for loss at 2.13 per contest. Petros has broken Moravian's career record for tackles for loss this season, now at 50 in his career, and he was honored this week as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Junior wide receiver Rocco Del Priore (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh HS) is tenth in the nation in kickoff returns with an average of 31.67 yards per return, and he is 98th in punt returns at 6.57 yards per return.
Junior defensive back Travis King (Wilmington, Del./Concord HS) is tied for 36th in punt returns at 12.00 yards per return while junior defensive back Rees Judge (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin HS) is tied for 20th in the country in interceptions with 0.75 per contest after three interceptions in four games.
Senior kicker Ian Heck (Easton, Pa./Easton HS) is tied for 72nd in field goals per game at 0.75 with three field goals in four games this season.
Moravian, 1-3 overall and 1-2 in Centennial Conference action, is scheduled to return to the field on Saturday, October 1st in a conference game versus Ursinus College starting at 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field. It is NCAA Take a Kid to the Game Day on Saturday.
