Take a Kid to the Game this Saturday vs. McDaniel

BETHLEHEM, PA – Moravian College invites all area children to attend their upcoming football game, Saturday, September 8th, against McDaniel College.  Children have the opportunity to experience a college football game as the Greyhounds hosts NCAA Football's seventeenth annual "Take A Kid to the Game" (TAKG) program presented by Coca-Cola and sponsored by another Corporate Champion AT&T.  Kids, ages fourteen and younger, will receive a free admission with the purchase of a full-priced adult admission, to watch the Greyhounds at Rocco Calvo Field. 

Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will have face painting, a coloring area, a chance to get a picture taken with Amos, the Greyhounds' mascot, and a football throwing contest, throughout the afternoon.

Moravian is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that hosting a game in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games.  The Take A Kid to the GameÒ program is entering into its fourteenth year in the promotion of collegiate athletics.

"We encourage you to save the date.  Moravian is excited about this event where kids from the community will have a chance to be a part of our game day experience and support NCAA Football's Take A Kid to the GameÒ program," Scot Dapp director of athletics and recreation at Moravian said.  "This game day experience is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship that can be demonstrated on the playing field."
