INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College football players are ranked in this week's NCAA Division III statistics.
Sophomore defensive back Rick Sinnig is tied for 16th in the country in interceptions with an average of 1.0 per game.
Senior defensive back Travis King is 36th in the nation in punt return average at 10.4 yards on five returns while freshman wide receiver Jimmy McCarthy is 45th in kickoff return average at 24.7 yards per return on three returns.
The Greyhounds are 17th in the country in penalty yards per game at just 27.5 yards and 17th in pass defense, allowing just 94.5 yards per game. The squad is 26th in fourth down conversions at 75.0 percent (three-for-four), and Moravian is 33rd in pass defense efficiency with an 86.8 efficiency rating. The Greyhounds are tied for 37th in turnover margin with a +1.5 after forcing five turnovers and only committing two miscues so far this season.
Moravian returns to action Saturday, September 15th as they travel to Centennial Conference opponent John Hopkins University. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
