Nick Tone Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Moravian College senior defensive lineman Nick Tone has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Greyhounds' 31-14 win over Juniata College on Saturday at Rocco Calvo Field.

Tone helped the Moravian defense pitch a shutout over the final 40 minutes of action after falling behind 14-6 to the Eagles on Homecoming. Tone recorded eight tackles in the game (four solo and four assist) while making three of the Greyhounds' five sacks in the game. He had a total of three and a half tackles for loss of a total of 18 yards, and he also forced a fumble. Moravian limited Juniata to 213 yards including just 49 on the ground.

"Nick's work ethic and attention to detail is phenomenal," stated Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "Nick is constantly working to get fundamentally better every day and prides himself on doing the little things. He is a great leader and teammate."

Moravian, 5-2 overall and 4-2 in Centennial Conference action, is slated to return to the field on Saturday, October 27 in a Centennial Conference contest at Franklin & Marshall College beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Lancaster.
