Nick Tone selected to D3football.com Team of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian College senior defensive lineman Nick Tone has selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware for his performance in the Hounds' 31-14 victory versus Juniata College Saturday afternoon on Rocco Calvo Field.

Tone, who was honored on Sunday as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, helped the Moravian defense keep the Eagles scoreless over the final 40 minutes of action after falling behind 14-6 on Homecoming. Tone made eight tackles in the game, four of them solo stops, to go along with three of the Blue and Grey's five sacks in the game. His three sacks were the most since Chad DeFelice had three sacks against Susquehanna University on September 10, 2005. Tone finished with three and a half tackles for loss of 18 yards, and he also forced a fumble as the Greyhounds limited Juniata to 213 yards including just 49 on the ground.

"Nick's attention to detail and work ethic are exceptional," commented Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "Nick works constantly to improve fundamentally a practice every afternoon and prides himself on doing the little things the right way. He is a great teammate and leader."

Moravian, 5-2 overall and 4-2 in Centennial Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 27 in a Centennial Conference game at Franklin & Marshall College beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Shadek Stadium in Lancaster.
