Golf Ties for Second at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team finished in a three-way tie for second place with a score of 304 at the Muhlenberg College Invitational played at the Lehigh Country Club on Monday.

The Hounds finished tied with Eastern University and Lebanon Valley College at 304 while the host Mules won the tournament with a team score of 290.

Senior Dan Leppert and junior Tyler Smith were both tied for 15th of the 98 golfers in the tournament with rounds of 75 on the par 70 course to lead Moravian while junior Kevin Kunkle was tied for 20th with a 76. Leppert had a bridie and 11 pars in his round while Smith carded two birdies and 12 pars and Kunkle had three birdies and seven pars. Sophomore Kody Long finished in a tie with 26th with a round of 78 that oncluded two birdies and nine pars for the Greyhounds while sophomore Joe Rochelle rounded out the lineup for the Blue and Grey with an 80 with a birdie and 10 pars to tie for 38th.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, October 4 when the squad hosts the John Makuvek Cup with DeSales University and Muhlenberg College beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the Weyhill Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
