ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- Moravian College sophomore Joe Rochelle has been selected as the Empire 8 Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance last week.
Rochelle led the Greyhounds to a third place finish at the Moravian Spring Invitational to begin the spring season with a round of 78 on the par 71 Southmoore Golf Course that included two birdies and eight pars as Rochelle finished in a tie for tenth of the 37 golfers.
"Joe has really worked hard on his game the last year," said Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "It is nice to see his effort paying off for him and the team."
Moravian is scheduled to return to action in the third and fourth rounds of the 2016-17 Empire 8 Conference Championships being played at the Hershey Country Club on Friday and Saturday, April 14-15. The Greyhounds enter the third round in third place after the two rounds last fall.
