HAGERSTOWN, Md. --- The Moravian University men's golf squad finished fifth of 10 teams at the two-day Catholic University of America Cardinal Classic at the Black Rock Golf Club Sunday.
How It Happened
- The Hounds moved up two spots in the second round after a team score of 314 on Sunday to finish with a 36-hole total of 629
- Shepard (W.Va.) University took first with a tournament score of 565 while the host Cardinals finished as the runner-up with a 590
Moravian Results
- Junior Jason Koch finished sixth of the 60 golfers with a 36-hole score of 146. Koch carded an even par 72 on Sunday with six birdies and nine pars
- Sophomore Robbie McNelly tied for 22nd in the tournament with a 156. McNelly shot a 78 for the second straight day Sunday that included a pair of birdies and nine pars
- Freshman Ehren Weyman finished in a tie for 43rd with a 163. He carded an 82 in the second round with a birdie and eight pars
- Junior Sam Bingaman finished in a tie for 45th at 164. Bingaman shot his second consecutive 82 with 11 pars
- Senior Eric Gilbert tied for 55th with a 177 for the tournament, and he carded a 90 on Sunday with three pars
