The Mighty Macs scored the first two goals of the match before Laratta tied the contest at 2-2 with 6:45 left in the first quarter. Moravian scored the first five goals of the second quarter with Laratta making the lead 8-4 with 4:45 before the intermission but a pair of man-up goals from Immaculata had the Blue and Grey leading 8-6 at halftime.

The squads traded goals in the third quarter with Laratta scoring with Moravian a man-down and Klodowski finding the cage with the Hounds a man-up as Moravian led 11-9 after 45 minutes of action. Laratta netted his sixth goal of the afternoon just over four minutes into the final period for a 12-9 lead but the Might Macs scored three times in the final five minutes to force overtime. The squads were scoreless in the first four minute extra session before Immaculata found the cage with the game winner with just 48 seconds left in the second overtime.
