Women's Tennis Defeats Regis (Mass.) College

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team battled against Regis (Mass.) College this morning at the Lake Cane Tennis Center. The Blue and Grey were victorious by a final of 6-3.

Leading the Greyhounds in doubles play was pair junior Brittney Eady and sophomore Skylar Oliwa, who won 8-2 at first doubles while teammates juniors Roberta Scantlebury and Aisling Doyle took home a win over their opponents 8-2 at third doubles.

In singles play, Eady was the first Hound to finish her match by a score of 6-1, 6-3 a first singles. Grabbing the next victory for Moravian was senior Courtnie Lambert, who won her third singles match by a final of 6-4, 6-3 while Scantlebury grabbed a three-set victory 6-1, 3-6, and 1-0 (10-3). Closing out the match for the Hounds was Doyle, who grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 straight set victory at sixth singles, which was the clinching point.

Moravian will take on Alvernia University Tuesday, March 8 at 12:30 p.m. at Lake Cane Tennis Center in a non-conference match.
