Adams Named Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore Caitlin Adams has been named this week's Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Adams helped the Greyhounds to a pair of Landmark Conference wins as she won both of her fourth singles matches as well as both third doubles matches with senior Courtnie Lambert. In Moravian's 5-4 win over Drew University last Wednesday, Adams had a 6-4, 6-0 win that snapped a 4-4 tie and gave the Blue and Grey the victory. She also posted a 6-1, 6-4 singles victory in the 9-0 sweep of Goucher College.

"Caitlin demonstrated a blend of poise and determination," stated head coach Alan Heverly. "She was playing in the last match to finish against Drew and that match determined which team came out the winner. To play that well under that kind of pressure is truly the real measure of an athlete."

Moravian, 6-4 overall and 2-1 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 16 when the squad heads to Susquehanna University for a Landmark Conference match starting at 1:00 p.m.
