Moravian Lacrosse welcomed Patrick Shea for the to the program in the fall of 2022 as our assistant coach in charge of face-offs and as our Defensive Coordinator. Pat Shea was named to the Lafayette College men's lacrosse staff in August of 2021. Shea coached the face-of unit at Lafayette to their highest win percentage in 5 seasons. Shea also enjoyed successful stints as the head coach at Sparta High School and Hackettstown High School in New Jersey where he was awarded NJ.com and New Jersey Herald Coach of the Year in both 2018 and 2019. In his four seasons as a head coach, Shea compiled 43 wins and reached the state playoffs every year. Sparta High School claimed the 2019 conference championship and the 2021 Spartans reached the state semifinals. Shea attended Belmont Abbey College and was the captain of the institution’s inaugural men’s lacrosse program. He also founded the Jersey Thunder West club lacrosse program, building strategic partnerships with the PLL and other area club teams. Shea comes to Moravian with his wife Jillian, daughter Evelyn, and dogs Charley and Maddie.
