Men's Soccer Falls to Penn College

Bethlehem, Pa.---The Moravian College men's soccer team dominated the game on Tuesday against Penn College of Technology on HUB Quad; however the Greyhounds found themselves on the tough side of a 2-0 loss in the non-conference match.

"I thought we played well, but we struggled at finishing today," commented Head Coach Todd Ervin "I think we could of taken a few more chances then we did. We out shot them by quite a large number, but they were able to get two which is disappointing. We got to finish our chances which we will look to do this weekend against Susquehanna."

The Hounds were on the attack right away recording their first two shots within six minutes of the game, one by senior forward Shane McCaslin that was saved, and then a little bit of over a minute later sophomore defender Ian Larimer would try his luck but was blocked by another player. The Wildcats would score their first goal in the 18th minute to give them a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The second half would have the Blue and Grey working the ball from every angle to equalize right away with another shot by Larimer that was saved only seconds into the half. Freshman defender Corey Klaskin would look for junior forward Seth Reynolds head off a corner but would miss just wide. Penn would find their way down the field again to secure the win with their second goal in the 55th minute. Although the Greyhounds outshot their opponent 23 to eight, it wasn't enough.

Junior goalkeeper Brian Boland recorded four saves in the match.

The men's soccer team returns to the HUB Quad on Saturday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. for Landmark Conference action as well as Senior Day.
