Abby Schaffer will be returning to Moravian College during the 2021-22 track and field season as the team’s pole vault coach for a third year. Abby is a 2012 graduate from Moravian with a BA in Business Management/Marketing.

During Abby’s time at Moravian, she competed as a pole vaulter earning a number of titles at the conference and national levels. She was a four-time Landmark Conference champion, four-time ECAC Champion, and two-time NCAA DIII National Champion (2011 indoor and outdoor). She also earned USTFCCCA DIII Mid-Atlantic Regional Field Athlete of the Year honors four times and was the 2011 USTCCCA DIII National Female Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Prior to her time at Moravian, she won the 2009 indoor ACC title for Virginia Tech. She still holds the all-time Moravian College women’s pole vault record of 4.22 meters.

Academically, she was a three-time member of the Landmark Conference All-Academic Team, a two-time NCAA DIII All-Academic selection, and a member of the Capital One Academic All-America Second Team in the spring of 2012.
