Novak, Carisone, Siragusa and Byrne Earn ECAC Accolades
June 09, 2016DANBURY, Conn. --- The Moravian College softball team has had three players honored by the ECAC with sophomore pitcher Josie Novak being named to the 2016 ECAC Division III South All-Star First Team and the ECAC Division III South Pitcher of the Year while sophomore pitcher Amanda Carisone and junior outfielder Julie Siragusa earned spots on the All-Star Second Team. Head Coach John Byrne was also honored as the 2016 ECAC Division III South Coach of the Year. -

May 15, 2016ITHACA, N.Y. --- The No. 17 and second seeded Moravian College softball team saw its 2016 season come to a close with a 3-2, nine-inning loss to top seed, host and No. 16 Ithaca College in the championship round of the 2016 NCAA Division III Ithaca, New York Regional Sunday on a day that felt more like March 15 with game time temperatures in the low 40s and light snow flurries in the air.

May 14, 2016ITHACA, N.Y. --- The No. 17 ranked and second seeded Moravian College softball team rallied from a pair of deficits and staved off elimination in the NCAA Division III Ithaca, New York Regional with a 13-8 victory over fourth seed Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) College Saturday afternoon in the final elimination game before the championship round.

Softball Opens NCAA Regional Tournament Action on May 13
May 12, 2016BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College softball team is heading to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament for the 16th time in school history with a trip to Ithaca, New York for a four-team regional after the Greyhounds earned an automatic berth after winning the Landmark Conference Championship on May 8.

Moravian Honors Senior Student-Athletes at Annual Banquet
May 11, 2016BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2016 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Women’s track & field standout Corinne Glass was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athlete while football player Anthony Orlando was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to softball student-athlete Mary Schlosbon and men’s tennis player Matt Tuorto. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to Neil Schlottman.
