  • Novak, Carisone, Siragusa and Byrne Earn ECAC Accolades

    DANBURY, Conn. --- The Moravian College softball team has had three players honored by the ECAC with sophomore pitcher Josie Novak being named to the 2016 ECAC Division III South All-Star First Team and the ECAC Division III South Pitcher of the Year while sophomore pitcher Amanda Carisone and junior outfielder Julie Siragusa earned spots on the All-Star Second Team. Head Coach John Byrne was also honored as the 2016 ECAC Division III South Coach of the Year.

College Saturday afternoon in the final elimination game before the championship round.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College softball team is heading to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament for the 16th time in school history with a trip to Ithaca, New York for a four-team regional after the Greyhounds earned an automatic berth after winning the Landmark Conference Championship on May 8.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2016 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Women’s track & field standout Corinne Glass was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athlete while football player Anthony Orlando was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to softball student-athlete Mary Schlosbon and men’s tennis player Matt Tuorto. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to Neil Schlottman.
