Seven Hounds Honored on Landmark Conference Softball All-Decade Team

TOWSON, Md. --- The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years.

Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career were nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and is being announced prior to the conference championship.

Jenna Carmon from the class of 2012, Jenn Dalickas from the class of 2015, Cassie Ernst from the class of 2014, Dior George from the class of 2015, Josie Novak from the class of 2018, Elizabeth Python from the class of 2011 and Mary Schlosbon from the class of 2016 have been named to the Softball All-Decade Team.

Carmon was a four-time First Team selection for the Greyhounds from 2009-2012. She was named Pitcher of the Year in 2009, 2010, and 2012 and won four conference championships while at Moravian. Carmon won 75 games and had 342 strikeouts. In conference play, she won 24 games and had 108 strikeouts.

Dalickas was a four-time First Team selection for the Greyhounds. She was named Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015 and won two championships in 2012 and 2015. Dalickas had a career batting average of .442 to go along with 54 doubles, 35 home runs, and 159 RBIs.

Ernst was a three-time First Team selection for the Greyhounds in 2012, 2013, and 2014. She was named to the Second Team in 2011. She was a part of three Landmark Championship teams (2011, 2012, 2014). Ernst played in 161 games where she batted .397 with 34 doubles, 13 home runs, and 119 RBI.

George was a four-time First Team selection for the Greyhounds and won two conference championships (2012, 2015). George finished her career with 216 hits, 48 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs, 98 RBI, and a batting average of .397.

Novak is a junior on the Moravian softball team. She was named to the First Team in 2015 and 2016, earning Pitcher of the Year in 2016. To date, Novak has a record of 54-12, 462 strikeouts in 472.2 innings pitched and a career ERA of 1.44. She helped Moravian clinch the No. 1 seed in the Landmark Softball Tournament, which will be hosted by Moravian May 5-6.

Python was a two-time First Team selection for the Greyhounds and was named Pitcher of the Year in 2011. She won four conference championships while posting 41 wins. Python finished her career with 237 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.35.

Schlosbon was a two-time First Team selection for Moravian in 2015 and 2016 and was named to the Second Team in 2014. She was a member of the Greyhound teams that won a conference championship in 2015 and 2016, and was named the Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete in 2016. Schlosbon finished her career with a batting average of .372.

"These seven players have been part of a strong tradition here at Moravian but are just a handful of the players that have helped us win seven Landmark Conference titles," stated Head Coach John Byrne.
