BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Members of the Moravian College men's and women's basketball teams were at Nitschmann Middle School Thursday afternoon to take part in a Pep Rally to encourage a positive attitude towards school and academic achievement and to help them get ready for their upcoming testing program.
There were approximately 60 6th graders. The Greyhounds talked to them and answered questions in a classroom setting for 30 minutes and then participated in basketball activities for 30 minutes. The students and teachers appreciated our involvement and everyone had a great time.
Freshman Tristan Hamilton and seniors Laura Jordan and Ericka Blair from the women's squad and freshmen Aaron Brown, Jared Clayton, Isaiah Jennings, Tom Cicalese were in attendance from the men's team along with Assistant Coach Pete Hamilton and Head Coach Jim Walker.
"Our student-athletes were outstanding when speaking to the entire group of students," Walker stated.
