SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- Junior guard Izel Dickerson tied his season high with 26 points to lead four Moravian College men's basketball players in double figures but it wasn't enough to cool off a hot shooting Susquehanna University squad as the Crusaders earned a 91-86 victory in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

"It was a tough game today," stated Head Coach Jim Walker. "The turning point of the game really was their run in the second half, and we never really recovered. "We fought back and had a good chance but we couldn't get all the way back."

Dickerson netted his game-high 26 points on 9-for-15 shooting, and he added a trio of three-pointers and a 5-for-5 performance at the foul line as the Greyhounds went 20-for-24 at the charity stripe. Dickerson also had three rebounds and two assists.

Sophomore guard Jarrod Dilts tossed in 17 points while shooting 7-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-5 behind the three-point arc while senior center Blake English added 13 points, five boards and three assists. Senior forward Cameron Cullen added 11 points and five boards for the Hounds while sophomore guard Matt Bosch and freshman forward Brandon McGuire each had seven points.

Moravian (11-12 overall, 5-7 Landmark) wasn't just hot at the foul line as the Greyhounds connected on 29-of-57 field goal attempts (50.9 percent) and 8-of-18 three-pointers. However, Susquehanna (14-9 overall, 6-6 Landmark) was also 8-for-18 behind the arc and 28-for-47 from the floor overall (59.6 percent).

The Crusaders had four players in double digits with three over 20 points as Brandon Headley had 25 points and seven assists while Harley Sellinger added 23 points and 8 rebounds. Jake Eskin netted 20 points for Susquehanna including going 14-for-19 at the foul line as the Crusaders made 27-of-36 free throws for the difference in the game.

Most of the statistics in the game besides the free throws were even with both team committing 12 turnovers. Susquehanna had a 28-24 edge in rebounds and also dished out 20 assists to 17 for the Greyhounds.

In the first half, the Crusaders opened scoring and held a 16-11 nearly seven minutes into the game. The Greyhounds then went on a 10-2 run fueled by a pair of three-pointers from Dilts, the second giving Moravian its first lead of the game, 21-18, with 11:11 before the intermission.

Dickerson hit a trey for the Hounds largest lead of the half, 31-26, and another three-pointer by Dilts broke a 31-31 tie and gave Moravian a lead it would hold into the locker room.

English started the second half with a three-pointer and a pair of free throws to extend the Moravian lead to 50-41 less than a minute into the half. The Greyhounds had a 57-51 lead with just over 14 minutes to play after a lay-up by Dickerson.

The Crusaders then went on an 11-0 run to take a 62-57 lead with Sellinger putting Susquehanna back in the lead for good with back-to-back lay-ups with just over 11 minutes left on the clock. Susquehanna would push its lead to eight points, 71-63, with 7:36 remaining.

The Greyhounds closed the game down to a point, 75-74, with an 11-4 run capped off by a lay-up from Cullen but that is as close as Moravian would get. Susquehanna made 6-of-8 free throws in the final 55 seconds to keep the Hounds from rallying.

Moravian will play its final road game of the 2013-14 regular season on Wednesday, February 18 when the Greyhounds head to the University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference game tipping off at 7:00 p.m. in the John Long Center.
