TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior midfielder Rick Guerra has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Guerra helped the Greyhounds begin the 2019 Landmark Conference season with a 14-7 win over Goucher College on John Makuvek Field. Guerra was 17-for-25 on face-offs in the match, scooping up nine ground balls on those 17 wins to help set up the Moravian offense.
"Rick is a real grinder for us every game," noted Head Coach Dave Carty. "He came back this year in shape and really prepared to play. He's a competitor and was great this weekend."
The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 30 when the squad heads to The Catholic University of America for a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
