Men's Cross Country Finishes 9th at DeSales Invitational

The Moravian College men's cross country team finished ninth of 45 teams at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday. The Greyhounds scored 329 points while Dickinson College won the meet with 58 points and Allegheny College was second with 104 points. The race was split into two sections, red and blue, and Moravian was seventh in the blue section.

Individually for the Moravian men, senior Matthew Lutcza was 30th of 448 runners overall and 13th in the blue section with a time of 27:13.25 on the five mile course. Junior Dylan Marton took 36th in a time of 27:17.86 while junior Donnie Noble was 42nd in the overall race in 27:31.24. Freshman Alec Duncan took 52nd for the Greyhounds in a time of 27:47.68 while freshman Corey Schauerman placed 238th in 30:18.01. Freshman Eddie Garcia took 288th place in 31:06.80 for Moravian.

The Greyhounds return to action Saturday, October 15 when they travel to Easton for the Lafayette College Invitational. The race is expected to start at 10:00 a.m.
