Four Moravian Student-Athletes Named to Landmark Conference Fall All-Academic Team

MADISON, N.J. --- Seniors Diana Feldmann (York, Pa./Central York HS), Matthew Lutcza (Dingmans Ferry, Pa./Delaware Valley HS) and Cadee Rockwell (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson West Lawn HS) along with junior Nicholas Hurff (Sewell, N.J./St. Augustine Prep HS) from Moravian College have been named to the 2011 Landmark Conference Fall All-Academic Team announced Tuesday, November 29th.

The Landmark Conference has selected 32 student-athletes for the 2011 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. Nominees could compete in any of the Landmark fall sports and must be a sophomore or older with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.

The fall All-Academic Team features 15 seniors, 10 juniors and seven sophomores. Eight of the 32 honorees are earning All-Academic honors for a multiple time in their career, while three selections have earned honoree for a third time, and another has claimed four All-Academic selections. In addition all six fall sports sponsored by the Landmark Conference are represented with at least one student-athlete. The Landmark Conference will select an All-Academic Team for each of the three athletic seasons during the year.

Feldmann was named to the 2011 Landmark Women's Soccer All-Conference First Team after being on the Second Team in 2010 and the First Team in 2009. Feldmann was also on the 2009 and 2010 Landmark Fall All-Academic Team, and the Capital One Academic All-District Team three times. Feldmann had a goal in 19 matches this season as a defender, and she was on the field for every minute for all 79 of her career matches, all starts, with four goals and five assists. She is majoring in environmental science with a minor in history, and has made the Dean's List six times.

Lutcza earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors for a second straight year after finishing second at the 2011 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by the Greyhounds in the snow. He then earned All-Mideast Region honors for a second consecutive season with a 27th place finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at DeSales. Lutcza, who is majoring in computer science, is a six-time member of the Dean's List, and was on the Landmark Conference Fall All-Academic Team last year. He was the 2010 Landmark Conference Runner of the Year while earning All-Region honors and running at the NCAA Division III National Championships a year ago.

Rockwell was named the 2011 Landmark Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year and earned a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team after winning the 2011 Landmark Conference Championship hosted by Moravian. She then earned All-Region honors with a 22nd place finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by DeSales University. Rockwell, who is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall All-Academic Team, is a five-time member of the Dean's List, and she has a dual major in psychology and studio art. Rockwell was also on the 2010 Landmark All-Conference First Team while earning All-Region honors and participating in the NCAA Division III Championship meet.

Hurff is a three-year letterwinner and starting midfielder for the Greyhounds. He played in all 18 matches this season, starting 14, and Hurff has played in 50 career matches with 25 starts. Hurff has been on the Dean's List four times and is looking for a career in the military after he completes his degree in environmental science.
