Freshman midfielder Travis Wantchekon snapped a scoreless match with a goal in the 64th minute to help lead the 17th-ranked Muhlenberg College men's soccer team to a 2-0 non-conference win over host Moravian College Saturday afternoon in a match played at Liberty High School due to field conditions on Moravian's HUB Quad after this week's heavy rain.
Wantchekon netted his first goal of the season on a breakaway while junior forward Danny Way scored his second goal of the season off of a pass from sophomore midfielder/forward Jeff Reinhart a minute and a half later to give the Mules a 2-0 lead.
Muhlenberg had a 15-3 advantage in shots and a 10-1 edge in corner kicks. Greyhound junior goalie Mike Brand had six saves while Mule junior keeper Ari Nutovits had one save in the match.
