The Moravian College men's soccer team lost their season finale to Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon, 6-0. Junior midfielder Nick Hurff had two shots on goal in the contest in a snowy game.
Sophomore midfielder Andrew Murphy put the Crusaders up 1-0 just four minutes into the game. Classmate midfielder Andrew Hayes would push the lead to 2-0 in the 11th minutes. The Greyhounds would battle the rest of the half but were unable to put a score on the board.
Junior midfielder John Arnold for Susquehanna started the scoring in the second half to put them up 3-0. Murphy would then put two more goals for the hat-trick, and freshman midfielder Ryan Donlevie would score the last goals for the 6-0 victory.
Junior goalkeeper Mike Brand for the Greyhounds would make three saves in 76 minutes of work. Freshman goalie Ryan Deuber tallied two saves in 14 minutes of action.
Crusaders junior goalie Pat Horan tallied three saves in 65 minutes or work. Junior's Matt Salsman and Thomas Walsh played the final 25 minutes without a save.
The Greyhounds close out their 2011 season with a 3-15 record.
