Men's Soccer Falls to Delaware Valley

The Delaware Valley College men's soccer team posted a 2-0 non-conference win over visiting Moravian College Wednesday afternoon.

The Aggies jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute when senior Tristan Preece scored off of a pass from freshman forward Kevin Robinson, and DVC added a second goal in the 85th minute when junior forward Tyler Yankovich scored off of a pass from freshman defender Connor Catterall.

Delaware Valley had a 17-13 advantage in shots while the Greyhounds had an 11-6 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore forward Jeffrey Algor, pictured, led Moravian with four shots in the contest. Greyhound junior goalie Mike Brand had six saves while Aggie junior keeper D.J. Meisinger made eight stops.

Moravian will open its 2011 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, September 24th in a 1:00 p.m. match at The Catholic University of America. The Greyhounds return home on Monday, September 26th in a non-conference match versus Lancaster Bible College starting at 4:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad.
