Moravian Men Race to Third Place Finish at 2017 Landmark Conference Championship

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team finished third at the 2017 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College at the Standing Stone Golf Club Saturday.

The Blue and Grey had a team score of 70 points while Elizabethtown College captured the team title with 38 points.

Moravian had a trio of All-Conference runners with sophomore Gregory Jaindl finishing third of 71 runners with a time of 27:32.23 on the 8,000-meter course to earn All-Conference First Team honors while sophomore Gavin Kemery ran a time of 28:31.36 to finish 10th and sophomore Justin Beasley-Turner completed the course in 28:40.74 to finish 12th. Both Kemery and Beasley-Turner earned All-Conference Second Team accolades. Senior Andrew Mitchell had a season-best time of 29:12.34 for 20th overall while freshman Franklin Musnuff finished in 25th with a time of 29:42.52 to round out the Greyhounds' top 5.

Freshman Jarred Kyra placed in 30th with a time of 29:50.57 while junior Peter Milewski was 33rd in 30:04.57 and junior Devon Harris ran a time of 30:07.62 and finished 34th. Freshmen Peter Gingrich and Billy Milburn completed the race after one another in 41st and 42nd, with Gingrich completing his race in 30:45.25 and Milburn finishing in 30:50.98. Senior Josh Toth ran a time of 31:10.94 while junior Aaron Hofmann had a 31:18.21 performance Saturday. Sophomore Devon Fogel ran 31:33.95 and sophomore Alex Tursi raced in 31:46.98 and to round out the Moravian runners.

Moravian has a week off before running in the 2017 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Dickinson College on Saturday, November 11.
