152 Greyhounds Earn Dean's List Honors for Spring 2018

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation had 152 of its student-athletes receive Dean's List honors from the College for achieving a 3.50 or higher grade-point average during the 2018 Spring semester.

"It is with great pleasure to be able to congratulate our student athletes who have attained Dean's List honors this past semester," stated Director of Athletics Mary Beth Spirk. "Our coaches and administrators work tirelessly to produce successful teams on and off the fields and courts of play, and our student athletes work just as hard to be successful in both areas. We are fortunate to have faculty and staff here at Moravian College support and push our student athletes in the classroom as well. Congratulations again to all of these outstanding student-athletes."

The 152 Greyhounds account for 35 percent of the student-athletes that began the spring semester on teams' rosters, and the total is 23.5 percent of the 645 total Moravian College students to achieve Dean's List status for the spring. The total also includes 20 student-athletes that participated in more than one sport.

The women's track & field squad had the most honorees with 27 student-athletes earning Dean's List honors while the women's soccer team had 19 student-athletes honored followed by the football team with 15, the field hockey and men's track & field squads with 13 and women's cross country and baseball programs with 11. The women's basketball squad had 10 student-athletes named to the Dean's List while softball team had nine honorees and the women's lacrosse squad had eight selections. The men's soccer, women's volleyball and cheerleading programs all had six honorees while the men's cross country team had five followed by women's tennis with four, golf and men's lacrosse with three, men's tennis with two and men's basketball with one.
