Moravian Inducts Inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society Class

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation inducted its inaugural class of 48 student-athletes into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society Friday afternoon in conjunction with the NCAA's 7th Annual Division III Week.

Chi Alpha Sigma works with NCAA and NAIA member institutions to recognize outstanding college student-athletes for their successes both on the field of competition and in the classroom. To be eligible for Chi Alpha Sigma, student-athletes must be a junior and/or senior with a 3.4 or higher GPA and have earned a varsity letter. The new inductees will received a certificate with the 22 seniors also receiving a medallion and honors cords to wear at graduation in May.

"Greyhound student-athletes have always performed well in the classroom and it is exciting to have an opportunity to recognize these achievements with their induction into Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athletic Honor Society," stated associate Director of Athletics Renee Hellert. "The amount of dedication these students put forth in both their sport and in the classroom is immeasurable and it is an honor to celebrate their success."

Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma inaugural class includes 22 seniors and 26 juniors and includes the following student-athletes:

Men's Basketball – Junior Nicholas Casazza
