Larry Rosati '42 - New Moravian Hall of Fame Inductee

The late Larry Rosati '42 will be inducted into the Moravian College Hall of Fame on November 3, 2017.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Larry Rosati '42, a former football player and coach, is being inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame on November 3, 2017 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Rosati, a 1942 Moravian graduate who passed away in 1997 at the age of 79, was a four-year letterwinner for the Greyhounds as a quarterback and defensive back. Rosati, who was also a member of the baseball squad for one season with the Hounds, returned to Moravian in 1946 to serve as Head Football Coach for five seasons as well as a physical education instructor.

During his playing career, Rosati led the Greyhounds to a 19-13-1 record including a 12-4 mark in his last two seasons as the starting quarterback and captain. Rosati was a charter member and the original secretary/treasurer of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame established in 1961, and he was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Football Hall of Fame in 1992.

Rosati is being joined by golfer Brian Bergstol '07; softball player Rosanna Azzolino Ettz '00; football standout Jarrod Pence '03; women's tennis and women's basketball player Lynne Grzywacz Webb '99 and for men's and women's cross country head coach Mark Will-Weber in the class of 2017 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2001 women's cross country team will also be inducted that night.
