Moravian Men Run to 18th Place at Inter-Regional Border Battle

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. --- The Moravian College men's cross country squad finished in 18th place at the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University at Gloucester Country DREAM Park on Saturday.

The Greyhounds had a score of 571 and was 18th of 42 teams. Junior Gregory Jaindl paced Moravian individually with a 15th place finish among the 394 runners by posting a time of 25:23.61 on the 8,000-meter course. Jaindl's time was a personal best by 19 seconds and is the seventh fastest time in school history. Junior Gavin Kemery was 105th in the race with a time of 26:30.69 while senior Devon Harris finished in 145th at 26:51.61.

Rounding out the Greyhounds' lineup in the championship race were freshman Dominic Derafelo in 169th with a time of 27:03.33, senior Benjamin Smith at 235th in 27:41.15, junior Justin Beasley-Turner in 282nd at 28:09.96 and sophomore Peter Gingrich in 290th with a time of 28:20.63.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 27 in the 2018 Landmark Conference Championships being hosted by Elizabethtown College at Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pennsylvania with the first race to begin at 11:00 a.m.
