BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College student-athletes spent the morning of Friday, November 10 with students from nearby William Penn Elementary School in the school's first field day of the year.
The students from William Penn walked over to Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse for the morning where student-athletes and coaches from Moravian's women's soccer, baseball, men's lacrosse, women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field and men's basketball teams taught some of the fundamentals of their sports and played games with the William Penn students.
Over the year, the Greyhounds participate in a number of activities with William Penn, which is located across Main Street from the Moravian campus. Later in the year, the Hounds will host the school's annual fifth grade versus teachers' basketball game as well as a second field day. Many of the Moravian squads will also walk over to William Penn to read to the students.
