Orlando Named to ECAC South All-Star First Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Sophomore defensive back Anthony Orlando of the Moravian College football team has been selected to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South All-Star First Team.

The honor is the third of the postseason for Orlando, who was also named to the All-Centennial Conference First Team and the D3football.com All-South Region Second Team.

Orlando played all 10 games for the Greyhounds in his first season and was second on the team with 103 tackles including a team-leading 64 solo stops. Orlando, who transferred to Moravian from NCAA Division I Colgate University; and junior linebacker Kevin Bracken became the first Greyhound teammates to record more than 100 tackles in a season since 1999, and 2013 was the first time that Moravian had a player register 100 tackles since 2002.

Orlando also contributed five tackles for loss, two sacks, a pass break-up, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries this fall. He returned two of his fumble recoveries for touchdowns with a 45-yard return versus Franklin & Marshall College and a 44-yard run back against Gettysburg College as Orlando's returns helped the Greyhounds earn victories in both games.

"Anthony is an impact player who immediately made a difference with his play on the field as well as his leadership," stated Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "Being named an ECAC All-Star is another well-deserved award for him."

Orlando is the first Moravian sophomore to earn ECAC All-Star honors since Kevin McGorry made the Honorable Mention squad in 2006.
