Farrell Wins 5K at Lehigh Games

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's track & field squad competed at the Lehigh University Games Saturday in the team's final tune-up before the 2015 Landmark Conference Championships.

Senior Dillon Farrell won the 5,000-meter run in 15:39.84 while senior Alec Duncan was fifth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:00.68

Freshman Eric Morton was third in the 100-meter dash in 11.51 seconds while sophomore Austin Gardener placed fifth in 11.56 seconds. Gardener was also fifth in the 200-meter dash in 23.35 seconds while sophomore Matt Barnett was seventh in 23.43 seconds and senior Travis Dorsa finished ninth in 23.70 seconds. Junior Tyler Dwyer took sixth in the 400-meter dash in 51.40 seconds while junior Ryan Sickler placed seventh in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.73 seconds and sophomore Jordan Sweeney took tenth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.65.

Senior Chris Ossont finished third in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 13.71 meters (44-11.75) while sophomore Kahron Walker was sixth in the triple jump at 13.46 meters (44-2) and ninth in the long jump with a mark of 6.21 meters (20-4.5).

Freshman Kyle Allison finished fourth in the javelin on Friday with a toss of 57.81 meters (189-8) Senior Parker Munson was sixth in the shot put with an ECAC qualifying toss of 14.67 meters (48-1.75), and sophomore Greg Cahill placed tenth at 13.21 meters (43-4.25). Munson was also ninth in the discus with a toss of 42.52 meters (139-6).

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3 at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove.
